Hitachi has a long-established reputation for setting new standards in quality, performance, and affordability. Hitachi C10FCH2 being no exception to the rule, which combines pro-grade performance with a price that’s almost too good to be true. Form, function, and fantastic value for money – this thing has it all.
Boasting an aggressive design, durable components, and Hitachi’s superb Laser Marker System, this model has earned enormous critical acclaim over the years. It also boasts a total weight of no more than 26lbs, making it easy to transport from site to site.
Supplied with everything you need to get the job done and done properly, the Hitachi C10FCH2 represents another home run for Hitachi. In this Hitachi C10FCH2 review, I’ll be going over a few of the primary features and selling points that have made it a top-seller online with a near-flawless reputation.
Features of Hitachi C10FCH2
There’s no denying how pretty the whole thing is right out of the box. The Hitachi C10FCH2 Compound Miter Saw looks great and has (according to the manufacturer) the following size and weight specifications:
- Item Weight – 26.5 pounds
- Package Dimensions – 20.5 x 16 x 13.5 inches
Considering the price a point I’ll continue to raise in this review…the unit alone would justify the low price. Nevertheless, this all-action power tool ships complete with the following in the package as standard:
- C10FCH2 Compound Miter Saw with Laser Marker System
- 10-Inch TCT Saw Blade
- Extended Fence
- Dust Bag
- Vice Assembly
- Box Wrench
- Hex Bar Wrench
That’s everything needed to get up and running in no time, which incidentally takes just a few minutes max. Along with being easy to assemble and activate, this best-selling Hitachi C10FCH2 saw also boasts the following benefits and selling points:
Compound Feature for Precise Miters and Bevels
Quickly and easily make miter adjustments from zero degrees up to 52 degrees for huge versatility. The left bevel also had a range of 45 degrees, making it perfect for producing pristine bevels with little to no effort required.
Superior Saw Blade Included
The kit comes complete with a high-quality 10-1/2-inch TCT saw blade, which has been designed to make light work of even the toughest materials. It’s also quick and easy to remove and replace the blade when necessary.
Laser Marker Technology for Perfect Cuts
Hitachi’s innovative Laser Marker System makes it easy to make perfect cuts with precise alignment. An additional feature that makes the saw even easier to use, with no skill or experience necessary.
No-Load Speed of up to 5,000 RPM
The 15-amp motor powering the saw is good for a no-load speed of up to 5,000 RPM, which translates to fast, accurate, and consistently clean cuts when working with a wide variety of materials.
Vibration-Reducing Elastomer Grip
Combines with a sturdy oversized table to offer a comfortable grip and maximum control at all times, while the saw is in use. There’s also a built-in clamping system to hold workpieces in place.
Dust Collector Included
As an added bonus, the saw also comes complete with a useful dust collector to keep things clean and tidy, while protecting the tool’s components from excessive dust build-up.
For total peace of mind, Hitachi C10FCH2 Single Bevel Compound Miter Saw backs every sale with a reassuring five-year warranty. This is one of the longest and most impressive guarantees offered by any manufacturer in the business.
My Experience with Hitachi C10FCH2
I knew what to expect from Hitachi Miter Saw, having already put its bigger brother through its paces. Again, I was immediately impressed by both the lightweight properties of the saw and how well it was put together.
A small amount of assembly required (instructions leave a lot to be desired), but the whole thing is ready to go in no time. The look and feel of this miter saw its ultra-low price tag. I read in a couple of write-ups that a little calibration was required before putting the saw to use, but in my case, the blade was already perfectly positioned – horizontally and vertically.
Power it up, and the whole thing immediately becomes even more impressive. Hitachi C10FCH2 10 inch Miter Saw is brilliantly compact when ‘folded’ at a 45-degree angle so that it won’t become a nuisance in the more confined garage or workshop.
Surprisingly quiet, impressively powerful, and enormously versatile, it’s also one of the simplest saws to operate you’ll ever encounter. Seriously I guarantee that if you’ve never used one of these things before, you’ll have no trouble with this product.
Like some others have said, I’m not sure it’d be visible outdoors in direct sunlight, but it works just fine indoors. Plus, you have to keep reminding yourself what you’re actually getting for such a small amount of money. Hence, no real complaints from me.
Hitachi C10FCH2 15-Amp 10-inch Single Bevel Compound Miter Saw tested across a good handful of hard and softwoods, the blade ripped through every workpiece quickly, cleanly, and consistently. The laser is always a welcome addition, though not the brightest, I have to admit.
- Compact design – perfect for smaller workspaces
- Decent laser for improved accuracy
- An extremely powerful and versatile tool
- High-quality blade included in the kit
- Market-leading five-year warranty
- Performs like a top-shelf professional saw
- Impressive crosscutting ranges
- Outstanding quality and great value for money
- Assembly instructions could be improved
Shy of the less-than remarkable power of the laser, everything else about the whole kit is an absolute winner. The Hitachi C10FCH2 Miter Saw looks the part, performs like a dream and is so simple that literally anyone could use it. And I don’t say that often about pro-grade power tools.
Don’t be put off by the quite hilariously lame assembly instruction that ships with the saw. Most of its assembly is pure common sense, and you can’t go wrong. The rest you’ll find in seconds online if the tiny pictures in the guide aren’t much help to you!
